Deep Trance

The real wisdom, the true help, and the final answers are always within. And each and every human being or creature in this universe has equal amount of intelligence, wisdom, love, and self healing power.

During my regular meditation, I always experienced several states which are beyond the normal – such as out of body, floating feelings, glimpses of past lives, no pulse, no heart beats, and no-thought. Once, the state of no pulse and no heart beat remained for about 45 minutes. In yoga, this state is called Nirvikalpa Samadhi. It is very difficult to describe such a transcending state in human language. After many such experiences, I experimented with “pain” under deep trance. When I went through the lung cancer treatments of chemo and radiation therapy few years ago, I used deep trance states of body-mind to understand, manage and reduce pain – many times to eliminate pain completely. I never took pain killers during this treatment of chemo and radiation including painful biopsies.
In 1996, when we almost had 106 inches of snow, I was working in my driveway to remove snow. After shoveling snow for over two hours, there was severe muscle pain in both arms. I then used regular self-hypnosis to relax and go deeper into a trance. Then I started using “deepening the trance” techniques in self-hypnosis, thus going into a much deeper state. I was focusing mainly on both arms where muscle pain was very acute. At some point, the pain area felt nothing but some kind of vibration. I felt as if I am separate from pain. Under this deep trance state, without using any traditional suggestion or visualization methods of self-hypnosis, I simply let these vibrations wipe out (like cleaning the black board in the class room). To my surprise, when I came out of this deep trance state, there was no sign of muscle pain in both of my arms.

I have been teaching meditation, hypnosis, regression, metaphysics, dreams, tantra yoga, and many other mind-body subjects in the US for over 12 years now. I have come across many people who suffered from mental anxieties, depression, negative emotions, and everyday problems of life. All of them wanted to solve their physical and mental problems via meditation or similar new-age holistic approaches. I helped them without using any technique of hypnosis or meditation. My approach was totally different – how not to look at a problem as a problem at all; how not to create stress at all; how to take a so called problem as a challenge and an opportunity in life, rather than to suffer from it.

The above experiences and experiments gave me the ideas of Quantum Hypnotherapy (QH) and Quantum Awareness (QA), which uses the basic concepts and techniques of traditional Meditation, Hypnosis and Quantum and Space-time Physics. When we relax or achieve a trance state (via meditation or hypnosis), our classical perception of the reality such as time, problems, pain, suffering, etc. start changing. In normal therapy, we try to get rid of any physical and/or emotional problem(s), while in QH or QA, we take a step beyond by going through (observing or witnessing) the process of thinking, pain, suffering, time, stress, anger, happiness, hatred, zealousness, fear, greed, etc. In other words, we understand the root cause (or the source) of the problem and see process of creating this state of mind by our own actions.
In a dark room, we ask the question “Where is the door?” This question seems to be natural and real; but in fact, this question itself is a byproduct of the “darkness.” However, if there is light in the room, this question will never arise; we will simply “see” the door and come out of it. The darkness will create more questions along with fear. We may even hurt ourselves by hitting objects in the dark. A rope may look like a snake and we will be afraid of it.
Similarly, when the mind is “ignorant”, thousands of questions come to mind: How do I get peace of mind? How do I get rid of negative emotions such as anger, hatred, pain, frustrations, jealousness, restlessness, low self-esteem, low or no confidence, and many more? How do I improve relationships? How do I relax? How do I forgive? How do I achieve enlightenment? How do I love? and so on. There is no end to such questions and fears. With so many questions in mind and problems of life, we start seeking outside help, sympathy, love, and care. Where there is demand, there is supply; consequently, we find gurus, priests, teachers, counselors, therapists, healers, psychicians, astrologers, and many more new-age or holistic energy workers. This help coming from outside is only temporary and in many cases may not work at all. We should not depend on others for our happiness and peace.
Asking the right question is getting started towards the right answer. A wrong question will always lead to a wrong answer and more confusion. People are asking wrong questions and becoming victims. Instead of asking, how do I get peace of mind? One should ask, how did I create the restlessness of the mind? Rather than asking, how to relax? We should ask, how I am creating this state of restlessness?
The real wisdom, the true help, and the final answers are always within. And each and every human being or creature in this universe has equal amount of intelligence, wisdom, love, and healing power within herself or himself. Nature (or God) never discriminates. We have to realize this inner power by ourselves and no one can give it to us.
QH or QA helps in bringing a little “light” in the room, i.e. awareness of the mind or the consciousness so that you no more depend on others for “healing” or for “answers.” As a byproduct of this experiential and practical understanding, you will experience self-esteem, peace of mind, confidence, health of body-mind, creativity, natural and loving relationships, and many more such wonderful emotions of life.
Think about a boat which has a hole and water is coming in. In order to save the boat from sinking, we can keep the water throwing out of the boat. It is like managing or reducing stress. Unless we find and fix the leak, no matter how much we manage to throw the water out of the boat, sooner or later the boat will sink. Similarly, if we keep creating new stresses, managing/reducing stress will not be enough.

Quantum and Space-Time Physics
The 20th century has been revolutionized by an exponential growth in science and technology – changing and accelerating our life in every direction and dimension. At the root of this atomic and computer age is the new understanding of the existence in terms of quantum and space-time physics. In brief, the reality which we perceive through our five senses is very limited and simply an illusion (maya).
At the micro level, the whole universe is more mysterious and a single entity – mass (matter), energy, time, gravity, and force converge. Quantum physics gives a totally different view of the existence than perceived classically through the senses. The mystery of the universe has deepened even further, even though we know a lot from the deepest levels of atoms to the farthest galactic distances of the known boundaries of the universe. How big the universe is depends on the size of our telescopes and other detecting devices/instruments. How small is the inter-atomic world also depends upon the size of atom smasher machines.
In simple words, our body, mind, and spirit are one at the quantum level – they seem to be separate at the classical level.

A trance state (under meditation, hypnosis or relaxation) is beyond the classical level, i.e. in the quantum domain.

tranceIn a classical experience, time is linear (past, present, and future). At the quantum level, time is non-linear. That is why in a dream or in a trance state, it is possible to see “events” which have not happened yet (precognition).
Thus, QH or QA basically involves the understanding of the process or functioning of the mind. Most of our physical and mental ailments are created by the mind through excessive and uncontrollable (almost automatic) “thinking” and blind belief in systems (ignorance). We fight and struggle with a so-called “problem”, but never try to understand it. For example, rather than trying to get rid of “anger”, we should see the process of how do we create anger. Some other questions we can ask are: What is this pain I am suffering from? How do I create stress or anxiety? I am feeling zealous, but what exactly I am doing right now? What am I thinking all the time?
In QH, a person can experience all the physical and mental events at the vibratory or quantum level. For example, in a conscious state, pain is uncomfortable – in a hypnotic trance it becomes less uncomfortable (and healing is faster too), but still we are suffering from it. But at the deepest quantum level, pain is experienced as nothing but a vibration motion (energy) and the intelligence of the subconscious mind will be healing it naturally without using any suggestions, visualization, or imagination. It is possible that after one QH session, the pain may disappear completely. With QH or QA practice, stress will not be created or accumulated at all.
